About one week from now, the Shepherd Area Historical Society will be hosting its annual Ice Cream Social inside the Shepherd Veteran’s Memorial park between the Powerhouse Museum and the splash pad. Come and enjoy free ice cream provided by the historical society starting at 6 p.m., then stay for a free live performance by the Central Michigan Area Concert Band starting at 7 p.m. Towards the end of the concert, there will be an opportunity to bid for the chance to participate in the band’s final performance!
So, please grab a friend, pack a lawn chair, and bring your sweet tooth to our ice cream social and hang out with us while we enjoy some great music.
Attendees will also have a chance to buy tickets to our Fundraising Dinner happening on Wednesday, September 16 from 4:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Shepherd Bar & Restaurant. The proceeds raised during this fundraiser will benefit the Shepherd Area Historical Society.
Meals will cost $30 a piece, and include the following:
- Half a chicken with baked potato and green beans, OR
- Lasagna with green beans and garlic toast.
Plus: - A chocolate chip cookie furnished by the Silver Spoon for dessert.
Community members can pre-order their meals by purchasing tickets, then pick up their carry out orders at the Shepherd Bar & Restaurant.
